Job summary

Responsibilities include minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry), preventive maintenance, and inspecting buildings and HVAC systems, while upholding the ministry and mission of the Diocese.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is preferred.
• At least one year of maintenance experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
• Capability to work in various conditions (indoors and outdoors).
• Must be available to work on call.
• Must be able to work with volunteers and vendors.
• Ability to lift 10 pounds or more.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance duties on parish grounds.
• Perform minor repairs including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
• Inspect buildings on location for minor repairs and report major issues to Pastor and Pastoral Assistant.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Inspect AC for cooling and heating; inspect filters and coils.
• Communicate major issues that require further attention or specialized services to the Pastor and Pastoral Assistant.
• Capability to work in various conditions (indoors and outdoors).
• Must be available to work on call.
• Must be able to work with volunteers and vendors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
