Job summary

Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton, TX is seeking a bookkeeper to manage the parish's accounting, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, and reconciliations. The role reports to the Director of Parish Operations and emphasizes independence and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field from an accredited American University.
• Two years of full-time wage-earning related work experience in business.
• Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.
• CPA Certification
• Valid Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Process and record all Parish receipts, disbursements, and payroll.
• Maintain and monitor Parish bank accounts and financial institution accounts.
• Assist budget preparation and monitoring with Parish Finance Council.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for Parish and auxiliary organizations.
• Support internal controls and diocesan financial procedures.
