Job summary

High school diploma or equivalent is required; candidates should have OSHA safety awareness and be capable of performing physical tasks as described.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Ability to diagnose trouble issues and perform minor repairs; coordinate with outside vendors.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials handling per OSHA; safety equipment use.
• Must pass Diocesan background screening and Safe Environment Training.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and minor preventive maintenance for buildings, equipment, and property.
• Provides general custodial and janitorial services, including cleaning, disinfecting, trash removal, restroom cleaning and restocking, and floor care.
• Cleans and performs basic preventive maintenance on equipment, tools, and building systems.
• Sets up and breaks down furniture and equipment for parish functions and events.
• Performs minor repairs, including painting, basic plumbing, electrical work, and other routine maintenance; reports malfunctions requiring additional support.
• Identifies, reports, and addresses safety hazards and maintenance concerns.
