Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or trade certification preferred.
• Experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction, or related field.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while leading a maintenance team.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs.
• Commitment to supporting Catholic mission and values of Epiphany Cathedral Parish.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift ~50 lbs; ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, and climb.
• Must pass post-offer DOV physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Oversee two maintenance employees in daily care of parish facilities.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance program for buildings, equipment, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
• Track maintenance requests, repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, and projects.
• Schedule and oversee routine, preventive, emergency, and special maintenance projects.
• Perform general maintenance and coordinate work with contractors and vendors.
• Oversee parish grounds maintenance and landscaping vendors.
• Manage contractors and vendors, including estimates and quality control.
• Assist with capital improvement planning and major repair projects with Operations Manager.
• Monitor maintenance expenses and assist with budgets.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, parts, and supplies.
• Ensure OSHA and chemical safety compliance; maintain safe work areas.
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and facility needs for ministries.
