Job summary

Our Lady of the Assumption Parish seeks a Parish Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and operations of all parish facilities. Responsibilities include church, chapel, parish office upkeep, and grounds.

Must have working knowledge of HVAC and safety systems, plus experience in minor repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting). Role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, on-call availability for emergencies, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of HVAC and safety & security systems.
Experience with minor repairs in carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting is preferred.
Experience implementing a cleaning plan for a facility, including cleaning and waxing.
Experience maintaining grounds and parking areas.
Ability to work well with staff, parishioners and contractors.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
On-call availability for emergencies.
Must provide own transportation for job duties.
Familiarity with Catholic culture is helpful.

Responsibilities

Oversees maintenance and operations of all parish facilities.
Ensures facilities and property are clean, safe and functional.
Perform minor maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting.
Manage trash/disposal and oversee contracted maintenance work.
Arrange setting up chairs/tables and move items as needed.
Maintain supplies inventory and place orders as required.
Respond to emergencies outside of scheduled hours when needed.
Other duties as assigned by parish leadership.
