Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking a part-time Janitorial Worker to maintain the cleanliness of parish facilities, including church and offices. The role requires familiarity with cleaning equipment, attention to detail, and a sense of responsibility in support of the parish mission.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, floor care, and replenishing supplies, with supervision by the parish administrator where needed. Must complete VIRTUS training and background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Prior custodial/janitorial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Experience with operating cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work with minimal daily supervision.
• Proactive in support of parish goals and policies.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Must complete VIRTUS training and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Clean and care for church facilities and parish spaces.
• Dust, wipe, sanitize furniture and fixtures.
• Clean building floors, windows, restrooms.
• Maintain custodial supplies and equipment.
• Report issues to parish administrator.
• Follow safety policies and health regulations.
