Job summary

Qualifications

• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Experience managing social media accounts for an organization.
• Experience producing and editing video and audio content.
• Understanding of media strategy and audience growth.
• Strong writing and editing skills with commitment to parish standard of excellence.
• Working knowledge of Catholic teaching, parish life, and liturgical year.
• Proficiency with social platforms, email marketing, website content management, and video/audio editing tools.
• Organization and time management; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Good judgment and discretion with sensitive information and public voice of the parish.
• Ability to work with staff, clergy, school administration, volunteers, and ministry leaders.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• Must comply with Diocesan EIM policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate messaging across bulletin, email, website, and parish channels; collaborate with staff to ensure accurate, timely communications.
• Plan, create, and schedule content for parish social media accounts; monitor engagement and respond to comments and messages.
• Plan, capture, edit, and publish video and photo content; cover events; maintain media library.
• Produce and publish podcasts including recording, editing, and distribution.
• Modernize parish communications by evaluating tools and practices; advise leadership on media strategy and outreach.
• Maintain a content calendar aligned with liturgical year, school calendar, and major parish events.
• Partner with school administration to share school news and support enrollment messaging; keep communications aligned in voice.
• Follow privacy, image permissions, and student safety guidelines in all content.
