Job summary

The Archdiocese of San Antonio is seeking a Development Coordinator to lead fundraising and parish communications. You will direct stewardship campaigns, manage donor relations, and support Archbishop’s Appeal for Ministries to strengthen parish development and ministry outreach.

You will build partnerships with parish leaders, coordinate events, maintain donor databases, craft content for newsletters and web, and plan budgets and reports in collaboration with the Pastor and Archdiocese teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years ministry or Catholic environment experience.
• Bachelor degree in communications, business or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Adobe Acrobat and Canva.
• Proficient with social media platforms and digital communications.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic parish setting.
• Reliable with variable work hours and weekends as needed.
• Archdiocesan background check clearance required.
• Driver's license and insurance proof required.

Responsibilities

• Directs Stewardship Campaigns and Archbishop’s Appeal for Ministries; oversees fundraising events.
• Strengthens parishioner relationships and addresses concerns with pastoral care.
• Maintains strategic communications calendar for events and parish initiatives.
• Leads public relations for parish events and social media engagement.
• Identifies donor opportunities and supports fundraising proposals.
• Maintains donor database and tracks contributions.
• Assists in planning development budgets and event tracking.
• Collaborates with ministry leaders for parish communications and content.
• Coordinates content for weekly and seasonal communications, including e-blasts.
• Plans and promotes parish outreach to Archdiocese and community partners.
