Job summary

The Development Coordinator at St. Mark Parish reports to the Pastor and supports the Stewardship Campaign, Archbishop’s Appeal for Ministries, and related ministry communications.

This role builds relationships with parishioners, coordinates fundraising efforts, and oversees communications and publications to advance parish development needs. Responsibilities include donor engagement, budget planning support, event coordination, and collaborative work with ministry leaders to ensure timely,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years previous ministry experience in a Catholic environment.
• Bachelor degree in communications, business or equivalent, or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Competence with Microsoft Office; Adobe Acrobat, Canva, and similar programs.
• Proficient with various forms of communication and social media platforms.
• Proven ability to multitask and complete projects in a timely manner.
• Must be reliable as work hours will vary.
• Ability to pass Archdiocesan background check.
• Provide proof of valid driver’s license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Directs all aspects of the Stewardship Campaign and related capital campaigns to meet parish goals.
• Assesses initiatives to strengthen relationships with parishioners and families.
• Executes and maintains a strategic communications calendar for events and stewardship.
• Coordinates public relations efforts to promote parish events and social media.
• Provides support to the Pastor by identifying donor opportunities and funding proposals.
• Maintains a donor database and aids in donor acknowledgement.
• Collaborates with ministry leaders to meet parish communication needs.
• Invites and creates content for weekly parish communications.
• Assists with planning development budget and event tracking.
• Attends workshops and conferences for development and ministry communications.
• Has working knowledge of WeShare for online giving.
• Oversees major publications and content, including Newsletter, Annual Report, and Parish Website.
• Assists in developing strategies to promote St. Mark to various constituencies.
• Prepares printed parish Guide Book & Directory; newcomers packets.
• Assists with ministry event planning, including the Ministry Fair.
• Available on designated weekends for events and on-site logistics.
• Proofreads own and others’ work and recruits volunteers as needed.
