Job summary

Louisiana State University AgCenter in Pointe Coupee Parish seeks a 4‑H Extension Agent to lead parish‑wide youth development efforts. You will plan, deliver and assess programs, recruit and train volunteers, and collaborate with schools and local partners to expand positive youth development.

You will develop adult volunteer systems, create STEM and life‑skills content, and document impact through plans of work and annual reports. Promotion and tenure may apply under LSU AgCenter guidelines.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree in education, agricultural sciences, or closely related fields.
• Master's degree in a listed field is desired.
• Effective oral and written communication skills required.
• Experience recruiting, training and supervising volunteers is desired.
• Ability to work with diverse audiences and partners is essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver youth development programs through 4-H clubs and enrichment activities.
• Coordinate volunteer recruitment, screening, and training.
• Lead partnerships with schools, communities, and local organizations.
• Develop instructional materials and teach youth leadership and STEM topics.
• Maintain enrollments, records, and risk management per policies.
