Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Personal lived experience as a parent of a child who has received community/mental health services in the past ten years.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English – highly desired.
• Ability to drive to family homes within the community with reliable transportation and valid insurance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to assess safety in family homes and community settings.
• Willingness to flex some work hours.
• Commitment to culturally competent services and multi-cultural work environments.
• Background clearances required prior to offer.

Responsibilities

• Peer Counselors share personal parent voice to support families.
• Collaborate in teams to plan and implement treatment goals.
• Engage with youth and families to build trust and participation.
• Assist families in aligning activities with recovery plans and goals.
• Review team progress and suggest improvements to enhance participation.
• Support recovery journeys and stability after services conclude.
