Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing community outreach to recruit participants into the program.
• Complete intake, program screeners, and assessments to determine other recommendations or support services for the client.
• Provide ongoing case management services for fathers enrolled in the program.
• Develop a plan of service that outlines an array of services and interventions from within DePelchin and the community.
• Assist clients with referrals to other community services identified in the plan of service and provide advocacy for individual clients and their families to receive entitlements or needed services.
• Maintain current records, meeting all recording requirements of the agency.
• Maintain monthly statistics and data for program accountability and billing for client services as applicable.
• Provide curriculum-based groups to families in the community, as needed

Position Description

Great opportunity for someone seeking a flexible, limited-hours role who enjoys connecting with the community and making a meaningful impact on families. The Parent Educator will facilitate curriculum-based parenting and family education groups in community setting. This positon will conduct presentations and participate in community events and outreach activities to promote program services and recruit participants in accordance with grant requirements. The Parent Educator will also conduct intake and assessments, develop individualized treatment or services plans, and provide supportive case management to group participants. As program needs require, the Parent Educator may facilitate additional approved curriculum-based groups. This position will work collaboratively with families, community partners, and services providers to provide advocacy, referral and connections to appropriated community resources.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in social work or related human services field

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of related experience
• Bilingual in Spanish. English required

Work Conditions

• Environment: Home-based office, Community settings
• Range of Schedule: Part-time (Less than 18 hours per week), Mon - Fri, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Occasional Saturdays for planned events
• Travel: Frequent - Must have a reliable transportation, valid Texas driver license, and current auto insurance
