Job summary

IND Independence School District seeks a dedicated Parent Educator to deliver direct parental education services to participating families under the SB658 guidelines and implement the Parents as Teachers Curricula. You will perform related program duties and engage families across the district.

The role requires flexible hours (evenings/Saturdays), maintaining caseloads, conducting home visits, and working with district staff to meet annual quotas while ensuring safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Education or related field required.
• Must successfully complete the Missouri DESE approved Parents as Teachers Certificate training.
• Parent Educator Certification must be kept current per SB658 guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct personal visits with participating families as per program requirements.
• Maintain and monitor the service record for each family on caseload to meet annual quotas.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate group meetings for parents/children.
• Recruit new families to reach annual quotas.
• Attend required meetings and trainings, including night meetings.
• Meet deadlines for program components and complete professional development.
• Accurately maintain caseload information and submit health and screening requirements.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
