McCall Behavioral Health Network is seeking a Parent Educator in Torrington, CT. The position involves in-home parent education services, reporting to the Director of Prevention and Family Services, with primary responsibility for the PSS program.

This full-time, non-exempt role offers comprehensive benefits and requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with data entry into Electronic Health Records preferred.
• Prior experience/credentialing in Triple P Program and Circle of Security preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct family assessments for DCF, community, or self-referred clients to the PSS program.
• Develop collaborative action plans with PSS parents/clients, and DCF Social Worker.
• Offer parenting education and support services to individual families in home.
• Provide case management including arranging transportation, basic needs support, and financial assistance as needed.
• Meets with Supervisor bi-weekly to discuss programmatic issues/problems.
• Meets with Director of Prevention and Family Services bi-weekly with PSS team to review progress.
• Data entry and documentation of program interventions, screening tools, and progress in agency EHR.

Parent Educator - Torrington

An opportunity to provide in home parent education services to community families. This position reports to the Director of Prevention and Family Services, with primary responsibility for conducting the PSS program.

Full-time / Non-Exempt

Pay Range begins at $24.00

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently and in the community. Prior experience/credentialing in Triple P Program and Circle of Security preferred. Familiarity with data entry into Electronic Health Records preferred.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk, using the phone, and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

Valid Driver’s license is required.

Credentials

Training in Triple P, Circle of Security Parenting, and Wraparound services provided upon hire. BILINGUAL REQURED

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitates Circle of Security groups as directed.
• Data entry and documentation of program interventions, screening tools, and progress in agency Electronic Health Record.
