Job summary

Illinois Action for Children seeks an Associate, Community Connections to work with families of children 0-18 in North Lawndale and on the West Side of Chicago. You will coordinate and facilitate parent activities via the Parent University Chicago program, and connect families to resources with program partners.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience, strong communication, and public speaking skills. The position is full-time and based in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or related field.
• At least three years of related experience or training.
• Ability to work with culturally diverse families and communities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate parent activities through the Parent University Chicago program.
• Develop a caseload of parents and connect them to community resources.
• Maintain records and data entry for program impact and outcomes.
• Engage and recruit parents in West Side Chicago workshops.
• Collaborate with community partners to provide services and support.
