Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking a 100% full-time Civil Service Program Coordinator to support and counsel parents on childcare options and strengthen childcare programs. You will assist in recruiting and retaining childcare providers on campus.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 1 year of related experience. The position includes a salary range of $45,000–$55,000 and may involve occasional travel to support statewide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Community Planning, Child Welfare, ECE, Child Development, or related field.
• One year (12 months) of education, training and/or work experience in early child development, social services and/or educational programming.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and evaluation to staff by educating and instructing them on policies and procedures.
• Work with Core staff training them on searching for childcare for families.
• Schedule staff for phones and / or walk-ins as needed to ensure coverage.
• Work with staff on attending outreach events.
• Educate the community to the available outreach and educational programs and services to improve the well-being of individuals promoting self-sufficiency and integrity of families.
• Educate the community on the services provided by CCRS including training opportunities, CCAP, and quality childcare indicators.
