VONNE (Voluntary Organisations' Network North East) in Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, is seeking a friendly and approachable Parent Carer Project Worker to join our Family Advice and Support Team. The role focuses on supporting parents and carers of children and young people with SEND, helping them access information, support and opportunities.

You will deliver workshops and information sessions, provide one-to-one support, assist in understanding rights and options, recruit and support volunteer

Qualifications

  • Experience in supporting families or carers of children with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and workshop delivery skills.
  • Ability to organise events and work with volunteers.

Role Description

We are looking for a friendly and approachable Parent Carer Project Worker to join our Family Advice and Support Team. You will work alongside parents and carers of children and young people with SEND, helping them get the information, support and opportunities they need.

The Role Will Include

  • Providing some 1:1 support, information and advice.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is a good listener, organised, supportive and able to build positive relationships with people.
