Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide in Carlisle is seeking drivers with a full manual UK licence to unload/load parcels and sort them for delivery routes. You will prepare trailers, assist with onward transport, and provide a friendly, dependable service to customers.

Roles include weekend shifts with overtime and a strong benefits package. Starting salary is £25,201 per year, rising to £27,561 after six months, with the potential to earn up to £30,000 per year based on overtime and a 38‑hour week.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address with no more than 6 points.
• Good attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg.

Job Ref: 339446Contract: PermanentHours: 38hrs [[zworkinghours and days]], with opportunities for overtime. Typical attendance is Tuesday to Saturday 02:00

- 09:36.

Note: This is a Reserve role required to cover the leave of the existing team including that of the WHAM supervisor during their leave. There will be overtime opportunities on a Monday and during the Peak operation. This can be a physically demanding role alternating from unloading a trailer of loose loaded parcels, to sorting parcels to cages and moving cages.

Why this role pays off:

- Starting salary: £25,201 per year, £12.71 per hour

- After 6 months: £27,561 per year, £13.94 per hour

- Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)

- Saturday & Sunday Weekend Premium +£4.39 (Saturdays) & +£6.58 (Sundays) applied to contracted hours

- Paid weekday and weekend overtime

- Additional Allowances:-o Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)o Night Duty Allowance (+£2.74 per hour, applicable on hours worked between 20:00 and 06:00)
