Job summary

Laacke & Joys is seeking a Shipping Clerk to support daily shipping operations. The role focuses on processing small parcel and ground shipments with UPS and FedEx, ensuring orders are packed, labeled, documented, and shipped on schedule.

You will collaborate with the Shipping Manager, Production, and Customer Service to maintain an organized shipping area, verify shipping details, print labels, and enter data into the ERP system. This is an in-person, full-time position.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing preferred.
Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping is a plus.
Experience using an ERP system (Epicor a plus).
Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks.
Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare and process daily UPS and FedEx Ground shipments.
Verify orders, quantities, addresses, and shipping information for accuracy.
Pack finished products safely and securely for shipment.
Print shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documents.
Weigh and measure packages and enter shipment information into the shipping system.
Stage completed shipments for daily carrier pickup.
Track shipments and assist with resolving shipping issues or discrepancies.
