Job summary

Riceland Foods in Stuttgart, AR is seeking a Sheller Operator for the Parboil Mill. You will start, stop, adjust and monitor shelling equipment to meet remove hulls, and minimize breakage and product loss; perform routine machine maintenance and check shelling efficiency using standard testing methods.

The role requires reading production orders, legible printing, the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, climb, use hand tools at chest level, work in tight spaces, and ride a man lift.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read production orders, print legibly, move heavy weights (up to 60lbs) frequently throughout shift, climb, work with hand tools at chest level, work in tight spaces and have good close up vision.
• Must be able to ride a man lift.

Responsibilities

• Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures.
• Responsible for plant safety by observing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them, and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor.
• Attend training as required or approved by supervisor.

Education

One year certificate from college or technical school; or High School Diploma or GED preferred
