Job summary

A National Transit in Georgia seeks a Paratransit Bus Operator (Non-CDL) to provide safe, reliable transportation for passengers with disabilities. This safety-sensitive role operates in a 24/7 environment and requires strong defensive driving, professionalism, and strict adherence to safety and attendance standards.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, assisting with boarding and mobility devices, maintaining a clean vehicle, and coordinating with dispatch.

Qualifications

• Must have strong defensive driving skills and safety awareness.
• Must understand and comply with DOT, ADA, and company rules.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Able to operate in a 24/7 safety-sensitive environment.
• Must have 2–3 years of professional driving experience in a structured setting.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers per routes and manifests.
• Assist boarding, securement, and de-boarding including mobility devices.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with DOT, ADA, and traffic laws.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and document trips accurately.
• Respond professionally to disruptions and maintain a clean vehicle.
