Job summary

A National in Hapeville, GA seeks a Paratransit Bus Operator (Non-CDL) for a full-time, safety-sensitive role in a 24/7 environment. Responsibilities include transporting passengers with disabilities and ensuring safety, compliance, and reliable service.

Training is about 3 weeks with mandatory attendance. Start times range 3:00 AM–4:00 PM. Post-training pay is $17–$20/hour, depending on experience and attendance. Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision Insurance and PTO after one year.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Licensed driver for a minimum of 3 years.
• No license suspensions or serious violations in past 3 years.
• Pass a criminal background check, DOT physical, and drug/alcohol screening.
• Must speak, read, and understand English proficiently.
• Must maintain a valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers according to assigned routes and manifests.
• Provide boarding, securing, and de-boarding assistance including mobility devices.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with DOT, ADA, company, and traffic regulations.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects immediately.
• Maintain communication with dispatch/control center.
• Accurately complete trip documentation.
• Respond professionally to service disruptions, delays, or passenger concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle environment.
• Demonstrate defensive driving techniques at all times.
• Uphold a professional appearance and customer-focused demeanor.
