PRIMARY FUNCTION: The job of Instructional Support Paraprofessional is done for the purpose/s of assisting students under the direction of a professional educator and providing instructional support by reinforcing the teacher’s instruction in the classroom.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1. Educational Level: Minimum 60 semester/100 quarter hours of eligible college hours OR passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Test ( https://www.gace.es.pearson.com ) isrequired. If submitting GACE scores, you will also need to provide verification of completion of a HS diploma or GED.
• 2. Certification/License: Must maintain Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate which include in-service training related to position
• 3. Experience: None
• 4. Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
• 5. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication; instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learners; student management.

• 8. Assists with classroom housekeeping.
• 9. Assists in the ordering and inventory of classroom equipment and materials.
• 10. Assists with school-wide supervision, such as loading/unloading buses.
• 11. Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
