Job summary

Primary Function: The job of Paraprofessional - Pre-K is done for the purpose/s of assisting assigned teaching personnel in the supervision and instruction of pre-school aged students, and performing classroom clerical tasks in support of the instructional process.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Educational Level: Minimum 60 semester/100 quarter hours of eligible college hours or passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment Test (https://www.gace.es.pearson.com )required. If submitting GACE scores, you will also need to provide verification of completion of a HS diploma or GED

2. Certification/License: Must maintain Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate which include in-service training related to position

3. Experience: None

4. Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities

5. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Written and oral communication; instructional strategies that connect the curriculum to the learners; student management.
