Job summary

Springfield City Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional at Lincoln Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The position runs 7 hours daily, 192 days per year, with a starting hourly wage of $19.79.

The ideal candidate will meet NCLB paraprofessional requirements and pursue Ohio certification, with training in child development and related areas. Responsibilities include supporting teachers, assisting students, preparing materials, and aiding in transitions and mobility as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Evidence of meeting NCLB paraprofessional requirements (60 college credits OR an associate's degree, OR passed the ODE paraprofessional exam).
• Ability to obtain Ohio Teacher's Educational Aide Certification.
• Ability to complete 45 hours of training in child development; early childhood education; child abuse recognition and prevention; first aid; and disease management; maintain trainings notebook.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in providing educational benefits for students.
• Work with students on academic assignments and/or physical needs.
• Assist teachers in preparing materials, operating classroom aids, and attending workshops.
