Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 60 credits or higher education OR Associate's Degree or higher OR pass the ODE paraprofessional exam.
• Ability to obtain Ohio Teacher's Educational Aide Certification.
• Complete 45 hours of training in child development; early childhood education; child abuse recognition and prevention; first aid; and related trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in providing educational benefits for students.
• Work with students on academic and/or physical needs.
• Assist in preparing materials, operating classroom or mobility assistive technology, and attending trainings.
