Springfield City Schools in Columbus, Ohio, seeks a Paraprofessional for Lincoln Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports teachers, assists students with academics and mobility, and requires completing state certifications and mandated trainings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Evidence that meets NCLB certification requirements (60 college hours or an Associate's Degree or higher, or passed the paraprofessional exam).
• Ability to obtain Ohio Teacher's Educational Aide Certification.
• Complete 45 hours of specified trainings with a notebook of all required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in providing educational benefits for students.
• Work with students on academic assignments and/or physical needs.
• Assist in preparing materials, operating classroom mobility assistive technology, and attending trainings.
• Lift students up to 50 pounds single-handed or up to 300 pounds with two-person lift, up to 20 times daily.
• Support transitions between classes within 4 minutes, guiding or pushing students as needed.
• Assist with boarding/exiting transportation and support up to 300 pounds.
• Assist with moving from seated to standing 15–20 times per 3 hours.
• Run after students when necessary on various surfaces.
• Assist with delegated nursing duties after proper training.
