Job summary

ESS is seeking a paraprofessional to join the Quakertown School District team in Bucks County, PA, supporting the classroom teacher and assisting students with special needs to promote academic and personal growth. The role involves instructional reinforcement, class supervision, and basic clerical tasks, with duties across cafeteria, hallways, and field trips.

The required qualifications include 48 college credits or a high school diploma with Para Ed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 48 college credits or a high school diploma with Para Ed. Certification.
• Pennsylvania State Police Clearance.
• Child Abuse Clearance.
• CPR, CPI, and First Aid Certification.
• School Health Form: Physical and Tuberculosis Test.
• Pennsylvania Department of Education Form 6004: Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students
• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
• Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans
• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration
