Lorain City Schools seeks a highly-qualified paraprofessional for our exceptional education program. The position is governed by ESSA and ORC 3319.074, requiring either an AA or higher, or 48+ college hours, or a ParaPro score of 456+ with eligibility for an Educational Aid Permit.

Hours are 6.75 per day, 189 days per year, with a rate of $18.75 per hour for the 2026/27 school year; the work is on-site within Lorain City Schools.

Qualifikationen

• Must be a highly-qualified paraprofessional under ESSA and ORC 3319.074 by evidencing one of the following requirements.
• Associate of Arts Degree or higher (official transcripts required) OR
• Two years of college totaling 48+ semester hours (official transcripts required) OR
• Passing score of 456+ on the ParaPro Assessment (copy of results) AND must have or be able to obtain an Educational Aid Permit.

Required Certification(s)

• must be a highly-qualified paraprofessional under the provisions of ESSA and ORC 3319.074 by evidencing one of the following requirements:
• Associate of Arts Degree or higher (official transcripts required); OR
• two years of college totaling 48 or more semester hours (official transcripts required); OR
• passing score of 456 or higher on the ParaPro Assessment (copy of ParaPro Assessment results).
• AND must have or be able to obtain an Educational Aid Permit through the Ohio Department of Education
