Supplemental Health Care, Inc. is seeking paraprofessionals to support teachers in partner school districts in Missouri. The role focuses on helping students with special needs succeed academically, socially, and emotionally in a safe, inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience working with children.
• Experience with children with special needs or behavior management.
• Willingness to assist with mobility, personal care, or emotional regulation.

Responsibilities

• Support students in inclusive classroom environments to ensure safety and belonging.
• Assist teachers with academic tasks, routines, and behavior plans aligned to IEP goals.
• Help students with daily activities, mobility and personal care as needed.
• Collaborate with therapists, staff and teachers to create a positive learning space.

School Hours | Monday – Friday | Pay: $18 - $20 per hour

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children
• Prior experience working with children with special needs, physical/mental disabilities, or behavior management

Education (must have one of the following):

• A minimum of 60 hours of college credits, or
• Associate's degree or higher, or
• Passing score on Missouri ParaPro or Paraprofessional Assessment, or
• Completion of Missouri's online Substitute training program
• Supporting students one-on-one or in small groups with classwork, communication, and daily routines
• Helping implement behavior plans and IEP goals with care and consistency
• Assisting students with special needs who may require help with mobility, personal care, or emotional regulation
• Creating a positive learning environment where all students can thrive
• Teaming up with teachers, therapists, and staff to make school a great place to be
• Willingness to assist with physical or behavioral needs as required
