Job summary

Supplemental Health Care, Inc. is seeking paraprofessionals to support students with special needs in partnering schools in Missouri. You’ll assist with academics, social and emotional development, and daily routines alongside teachers.

Must have 6+ months of relevant experience and education credentials. We offer comprehensive benefits and a strong referral program, with competitive hourly wages of $18–$20.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children.
• Prior experience with children with special needs, physical/mental disabilities, or behavior management.
• Supporting students one-on-one or in small groups with classwork, communication, and daily routines.
• Helping implement behavior plans and IEP goals with care and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Support students in classroom activities and routines.
• Assist with mobility, personal care, or emotional regulation as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to implement plans.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.

School Hours | Monday - Friday | Pay: $18 - $20 per hour

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children
• Prior experience working with children with special needs, physical/mental disabilities, or behavior management

Education (must have one of the following)

• A minimum of 60 hours of college credits, or
• Associate's degree or higher, or
• Passing score on Missouri ParaPro or Paraprofessional Assessment, or
• Completion of Missouri's online Substitute training program
• Supporting students one-on-one or in small groups with classwork, communication, and daily routines
• Helping implement behavior plans and IEP goals with care and consistency
• Assisting students with special needs who may require help with mobility, personal care, or emotional regulation
• Creating a positive learning environment where all students can thrive
• Teaming up with teachers, therapists, and staff to make school a great place to be
• Willingness to assist with physical or behavioral needs as required
• You’ll be part of a collaborative, caring school community
