Job summary

Care Options for Kids is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support students with diverse learning needs in a school setting. You will work with an assigned teacher, assist with lessons, grade homework, and write progress reports, while staying caring and committed to each student’s success.

The role offers an hourly wage of $18–$24, with referral programs and access to an online clinician community as added benefits. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Parapro certification or completion preferred.
• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is desirable.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support students individually and in groups under teacher supervision.
• Assist with lesson plans and materials, and help grade homework.
• Prepare progress reports for students and parents as directed.
• Collaborate closely with assigned teachers to support diverse learning needs.

Job description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support students with diverse learning needs, including learning, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. This person will work closely with an assigned teacher and provide support by working with students individually and in groups, assisting with lesson plans and materials, grading homework, and writing progress reports. In order to thrive in this role, the paraprofessional must be caring, compassionate, and committed to each student’s success.

• $18-$24/Hour

Experience/Requirements:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional, ideally in a school based setting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information.
• Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
• Responsive to requests.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.

Education/License/Certification:

• GED/High School Diploma.
• Associates Degree or higher preferred.
• Pass the Parapro Preferred
