Job summary

Orchard Farm School District is seeking High School Juniors and Seniors enrolled in the Early College AAT program for a Paraprofessional-Intern opportunity. The role provides social and academic support in K-6 general and special education settings, including the cafeteria, classrooms, hallways, recess, and assemblies.

Essential duties include assisting students with disabilities, data collection, assistive devices, coordinating with teachers, and ensuring confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Assist students with disabilities as directed by a certified staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and families.
• Participate in staff development, faculty meetings, and events.
• Assist with supervision during arrivals/departures and in multiple settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities according to individual needs.
• Collect data and manage behavior under supervision.
• Support students with assistive devices and accessing areas of the building.
• Discuss duties with teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Keep teachers informed of any special needs or problems.
• Maintain confidentiality of information about children and families.
• Participate in staff development and meetings as requested.
• Help supervise arrival and departure of students throughout the day.
• Follow instructions from teachers and administrators.
