Job summary

Topeka Public Schools is seeking a PARA I-A IN SCHOOL SUSPENSION to support the instructional program and oversee students assigned to In-School Suspension. You will document student behavior and provide information to teachers, parents and other staff.

Under supervision, you will implement behavioural plans and assist with tutoring, record-keeping, and responding to inquiries, contributing to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math, ability to read manuals, and follow written instructions.
• Skills to operate standard office equipment and software.
• Ability to communicate clearly with students, teachers, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing behaviour plans under supervision.
• Maintain attendance and activity records to support mandated requirements.
• Provide feedback on student progress to teachers and parents.
• Respond to inquiries from students, staff, and parents to resolve issues.
• Tutor students on class work to support ongoing learning.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the school program.
