Job summary

Chicopee Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional for General Education at the middle/high school level to assist teachers in delivering the district curriculum and supporting student achievement.

Under the direction of the classroom teacher, you will work with small groups, manage materials, and help implement differentiated instruction while maintaining records and communicating with families as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support student instruction under the classroom teacher in academic, social, and motor skills.
• Assist in preparation of classroom materials and management of records.
• Provide timely feedback to teachers regarding student progress and behavior.
• Deliver differentiated instruction in alignment with district curriculum when appropriate.
• Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
