Job summary

Chicopee Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional to support General Education in an elementary setting. Under the supervision of the teacher, you will assist in delivering district curriculum, supporting instruction, and facilitating student learning across academic, social, and motor skills.

The role requires a high school diploma with preferred bilingual ability and prior paraschools experience; training in district techniques and behavior plans is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Previous classroom/paraprofessional experience preferred.
• Must be trained or willing to be trained by Chicopee Public Schools in specified areas.

Responsibilities

• Support student instruction in academic, social, and motor skills under the classroom teacher guidance.
• Work with small groups to assess and communicate basic analysis of student assessments.
• Assist in the delivery of differentiated instruction aligned with district curriculum.
• Maintain attendance, records, and assessments as directed by the teacher.
• Assist in preparing classroom materials and managing daily activities.
