Job summary

Star City School District is seeking a paraprofessional to support teachers and students on an assigned campus. The role includes assisting with instructional activities, materials, and basic classroom management.

Candidates must meet Arkansas paraprofessional qualifications: a high school diploma or GED, 60 semester credits or an associate degree, and a passing ETS Parapro score of 457. Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 60 college credits from an accredited institution.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Must pass Arkansas Parapro ETS assessment with a 457.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional behavior and represent the district.
• Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests.
• Supervise students during the day (cafeteria, bus, playground).
• Maintain classroom organization and records.
• Assist teachers with technology to enhance learning.
• Uphold school rules and policies.
• Communicate with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Attend staff development and meetings as needed.
