Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass the GACE para assessment or have 60 semester hours/90 quarter hours with a grade of C or better; an Associate's Degree or higher is acceptable.
• Must obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate.
• 0-1 year experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assist with daily routines including distributing and collecting supplies, keeping attendance records, and grading quizzes.
• Participate in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Prepare and maintain bulletin boards and learning centers for instruction.
• Monitor library use and assist with instructional tasks.
• Utilize media/technology resources and equipment for instruction.
• Assist with inventory, processing of new materials, displays, and media productions.
• Circulate and collect student mobile devices; maintain records.
