Job summary

Middletown Township Public Schools seeks qualified paraprofessionals to support preschool and elementary students. Positions are available immediately with an extended deadline and up to 29.75 hours per week.

Minimum of 48 college credits or Paraprofessional Praxis required; BS/BA degree preferred and NJ Teaching Certificate preferred. Hourly rates are posted as part of the employment terms.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher in the delivery of effective instructional program
• Record and/or collect data under the direction of the teacher
• C/D Rate assignments: Monitor and implement a student's Behavior Intervention Plan / Address behavior as required
• C Rate assignments: Assist with physical care of students, including mobility, feeding, toileting, and diapering

*Paraprofessionals who were hired and have been continuously employed with MTPS as of June 2005 and passed the in-district paraprofessional assessment are not required to meet the qualifications above.
