Job summary

Millville Board of Education is seeking paraprofessionals to support teachers and students in district elementary schools. You will facilitate one-to-one or small-group instruction, assist with classroom management, and help implement IEPs.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or 48 college credits or Parapro Praxis, and are collaborative, adaptable, and proactive. Experience with students with disabilities is preferred; ability to work with educational professionals is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or minimum 48 college credits or passing Parapro Praxis exam (456) required.
• Previous experience with students with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to take direction and work cooperatively with other educational professionals.

Description

Paraprofessionals support teachers and students by facilitating one-to-one or small-group instruction, assisting with classroom management, and implementing special education plans (IEPs). Paraprofessionals should be collaborative, adaptable and willing to take initiative. Paraprofessionals will assist in Resource Rooms, Autism, Cog mild, ERI, 1:1, and MD classrooms.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or minimum of (48) credits from an accredited college/university, OR, passing score on the Parapro Praxis Exam (minimum score 456) ETS ParaPro | Prometric
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred
• Ability to take direction and work cooperatively with other educational professionals

Starting Salary Range

$23,738.-$26,238.
