Applitrack is seeking an instructional assistant to support teachers and students across a district-wide setting. The role involves tasks necessary for classroom operations both inside and outside the classroom.

The position is 10-month, part-time, with 5.75 hours per day (28.75 hours/week) over 183 days. Compensation includes gross pay at $26.50/hour, $152.37 per diem, and an annual $27,884 salary, plus sick/personal time and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, 30 undergraduate credits or Praxis Para Pro test.
• Have integrity and good moral character and initiative.
• Enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal skills to relate with students, staff, administration, parents, and community.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with proper grammar/vocabulary.
• Demonstrate aptitude and competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status and required background check.
• Health adequate to fulfill job functions with reasonable accommodation per applicable regulations.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
Provides instructional assistance to the teacher and students and assists with tasks regarded as necessary in the conduct of a class both in and outside of the classroom.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Have a high school diploma, a minimum of thirty (30) undergraduate college credits or pass Praxis Para Pro test.
2. Have integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
3. Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
4. Have excellent organizational skills.
5. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
6. Demonstrate aptitude and competence for assigned responsibilities.
7. Provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status and required criminal background check.
8. Provide evidence that health is adequate to fulfill the job functions and responsibilities with reasonable accommodation pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 12101 and in accordance with N.J.A.C. 6:3-4A.4
