Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist students with self-regulation and prioritize self-regulation within the classroom setting.
- Meet with students individually and in small groups to teach self-regulation, executive functioning, and social skills.
- Utilize a variety of resources to engage students.
- Work effectively with at-risk secondary students (grades 9–12).
- Manage and track student progress and course completion in an online platform.
- Support students in completing courses through non-traditional methods when necessary.
- Support teachers with strategies to improve student behavior and reduce time spent outside the classroom.
- Communicate with building staff—including special education, general education, and administration—regarding student behavior supports.
- Collaborate with service providers and related service personnel.
- Work independently while meeting deadlines and requirements.
- Collect data as required by supervising teacher and staff.
- Handle clerical functions related to job responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator, Behavior Support Team, or designee.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance.
- Demonstrate responsibility, strong work ethic, flexibility, and initiative.
