Job summary

Scoot Education is seeking paraprofessional and behavior interventionist professionals in California to support students with special needs. You will work 1:1 or in small groups, building rapport and ensuring a safe learning environment under the guidance of lead educators.

Roles may involve assisting in various scenarios including toileting, personal 1:1 care, and addressing challenging behaviors. We offer paid training, weekly direct-deposit pay, and a path to continued employment as a W-2

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs is required or highly preferred.
• Candidates should have some background in Special Education settings.
• CBEST or equivalent credentials are valued where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with students with special needs in small group or 1:1 settings.
• Build rapport and trust with the children in your care.
• Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Take direction from lead educators and assist when needed.
• Assist in mod to severe scenarios such as toileting; 1:1 care; non-verbal or challenging behaviors.
