Job summary

Alexandria Township School District seeks a caring Paraprofessional to support students academically, socially, and behaviorally. You will work with teachers and staff to foster an inclusive learning environment and assist with transitions, lunch, and activities throughout the day.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, NJ requirements, and the ParaPro Assessment is preferred. Benefits include single health insurance with optional dependent coverage.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to support students academically, socially, and behaviorally and help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

• Providing instructional and classroom support under the direction of a classroom teacher
• Working with individual students and small groups
• Assisting students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Supporting students through the school day, including during transitions, lunch, recess and other activities as needed
• Helping maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment

Collaborating effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment preferred

Must meet all New Jersey requirements for school employment, including criminal history clearance

Terms of Employment:

• Salary Range: $33,793 - $49,606 (as per the negotiated agreement)
• Benefits: Single health insurance coverage provided by the Board, with the option to buy up to dependent or family coverage at the employee's expense
