The Franklin Township School District (Hunterdon County) is seeking apassionate and dedicated Paraprofessionalto join our educational team. The ideal candidate will assist the classroom teacher and/or special education student or students to provide them with physical and emotional support as needed to gain optimum benefit from the district's special education program.

Hours/Schedule:

• Schedule: Monday through Friday.
• 2026-2027 School Year

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Provide instructional reinforcement for students
• Attend to student's physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class as needed

Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and/or school administration

Qualifications

• High School diploma; college level coursework in education or related field preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and school staff.
• Possess the desire to work with an understand children with learning and behavioral changes.
• Physical requirements: Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying, reaching, squatting/kneeling as appropriate to meet the physical demands of the educational setting.
• Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status
• Current Residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment.
