Moss, Luse & Womble seeks a motivated Paraplanner to join our growing firm. This role is ideal for a tax accountant looking to transition to personal financial planning or for an experienced financial planner, with a path to promotion and direct client interaction.

You will support senior planners, organize client data for cash flow, investment, tax, retirement, and estate planning, and help in preparing tax returns while fostering strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • CPA (or a minimum of 3 exams passed) or a CFP designation
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in personal and/or business tax preparation or 1-2 years of experience in personal financial planning/wealth management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior financial planners in preparing for annual client consultations and monitoring calls.
  • Organize and analyze client data to advise in cash flow analysis, investment allocation, tax, retirement, pension, insurance, education and estate planning.
  • Prepare and/or review personal and small business tax returns.
  • Participate in training modules and mentorship with senior planners.
  • Prepare and reconcile some clients' accounting records on a monthly basis.
  • Research and respond to client questions when senior planners are in consult or unavailable.
  • Communicate directly with clients and help foster positive relationships between clients and our firm.
  • Learn the processes and philosophies of our firm to meet with clients in the future.

Role Description: We are seeking a motivated candidate to fill the role of Paraplanner in our rapidly growing firm. This is an outstanding opportunity for a tax accountant looking to transition to personal financial planning or for an experienced financial planner. With an intended path to quick promotion, this individual should be comfortable working directly with clients. This is not a sales position.
