Job summary

The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners seeks a Transport Firefighter/Paramedic to support countywide Fire Rescue and Emergency Services. The role requires delivering quality medical care during emergencies and participating in fire prevention, control, and response operations on a 24/48 shift schedule.

You will respond to calls, assess patient condition, administer life support, operate medical equipment, and coordinate with dispatch and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at appointment.
• Current Florida Firefighter II and Paramedic certifications.
• Valid Florida Driver License or be able to obtain one within 30 days.
• CPR/BLS/ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and drive ambulance to sites.
• Provide basic/advanced life support and patient care at scene and en route.
• Operate medical equipment and monitor patient condition.
• Coordinate with dispatch, hospital staff, and other agencies.
• Maintain equipment, records, and reports.
• Comply with privacy and safety regulations.
