Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a licensed Paramedic for a full-time night shift role. You will inspect and maintain transport equipment, monitor patient conditions, educate families about care, and operate emergency vehicles safely under varied conditions.

Requirements include active paramedic licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, a valid driver’s license, and 1+ year of patient care experience. Florida background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English.
• Ability to determine patient conditions and assess pre-existing medical conditions.
• Knowledge of EMS communications and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure safety of transport team members, patients, and the public.

• Monitors equipment needs and secures tools to meet care demands during transport.
• Operates emergency vehicles safely in various weather and emergent conditions.

Job Description:

• SIGN ON BONUS - $5,000

• SHIFT - Full Time, 72hrs, Both Days & Nights

• Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public.

• Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments as appropriate.

• Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions.

• Monitors and anticipates needs for additional equipment and secures tools to meet patient care demands during transport.

• Operates emergency vehicles safely in various weather and emergent conditions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to determine the nature of patient conditions and assess whether patients have pre-existing medical conditions [Required]
• Ability to identify and treat life-threatening conditions within the paramedic's field of practice [Required]
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Ambulance transport knowledge [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate's [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ years patient care experience [Required]

$21.77 - $40.48
