Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Licensed Paramedic to join our transport team. You will inspect and maintain equipment, monitor patient conditions, and educate families about interventions while ensuring safety in transport.

The role requires 1+ year of patient care, paramedic license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, DL, CEVO/EVOC, and a willingness to work night shifts. A benefit package starts from day one and a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed Paramedic (PARA) and able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS are required.
• 1+ year of patient care experience is preferred.
• Driver's license required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure safety of transport team members, patients, and the public.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments during transport.
• Educates patients and family members about illnesses and clinical interventions.
• Monitors and anticipates needs for additional equipment and secures tools to meet patient care demands.
• Operates emergency vehicles safely in various weather and emergent conditions.

Job Description:

• SIGN ON BONUS - $5,000
• SHIFT - Full Time, 72hrs, Both Days & Nights
• Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments as appropriate.
• Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions.
• Monitors and anticipates needs for additional equipment and secures tools to meet patient care demands during transport.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to determine the nature of patient conditions and assess whether patients have pre-existing medical conditions [Required]
• Ability to identify and treat life-threatening conditions within the paramedic's field of practice [Required]

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
