Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent, Kansas Paramedic certification or eligibility, and a valid State Driver’s License.
• BLS and ACLS are required upon hire; PALS is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best course of action using Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.
